Monterey Mushrooms canned Whole Marinated Mushrooms are processed from the cultivated mushroom, Agaricus bisporus, white to off-white strains. Mushrooms are inspected, washed, blanched, then filled into jars with the addition of a unique seasoning blend and a vinegar brine. The product is thermally processed and commercially sterile under pH control. The product is intended for use as an appetizer, ingredient in salads and pastas, side dish with meals, and similar applications. After opening, refrigerate up to 6 weeks if stored in the packing brine in a sealed container.
